2.0.0 (beta) Has Landed!

Two-tier referrals, redesigned profiles, and our biggest update yet.

Written by Rewardly

Greetings, Adventurers!

We just emerged from a long stretch of heads-down building, and we're back with a release that genuinely reshapes how Rewardly feels to use. 2.0.0-beta isn't a patch. It's the new foundation we've been quietly laying for everything that comes next on our road to a stable launch.

Grab a coffee. Here's what changed, and why it matters.

A Referral System That Actually Pays You Twice

The headline feature. Inviting friends used to be a one-and-done bonus. Not anymore.

The new two-tier referral system rewards you in two different ways:

  • Tier 1 — Sign-Up Bonus. A flat one-time reward when your friend joins and gets going.

  • Tier 2 — Ongoing Commission. A recurring monthly cut of your referrals' earning activity, with a commission rate that grows as you level up.

We rebuilt the Invite Friends page from scratch to match: a live commission chart, a brand-new Referral Machine badge widget, and a layout that finally tells the full story of what you're earning and where it's coming from. If you've ever wondered whether referrals were "worth it", the answer just changed.

Your Profile, Reimagined

Profiles got a serious glow-up.

  • Quests tab at /@username/quests now showcases your completed quests the same way badges do. Wear them.

  • Media tab at /@username/media collects every photo from your posts into one clean visual gallery.

  • Friends tab got sorting (Recently Active, Newest, Alphabetical), a search bar, and three display styles so you can browse your circle the way you want.

And when you connect a social account in Account > Connections, you can now choose to display those links right on your profile. Show people where to find you.

Quests That Tell You More

We added something small that quietly changes the experience: a details dialog for every quest and badge. Tap the new search icon on any quest row and you get the full picture, tier-by-tier progress, the reward at each step, and where you stand on the journey.

The same dialog works from your transaction history too. See a quest payout in your account log? Tap it, and the full quest opens right there.

Tooltips across the app now show your tier in Roman numerals (think Collector III), so you can read your progress at a glance without opening anything. And quest descriptions now support clickable links, so when a quest needs you somewhere specific, the path is one tap away.

A Smarter Account Page

Account transactions can now be filtered by type, status, or a custom date range. That one transaction from three weeks ago? Found in seconds.

We also added a fun one for the data nerds: the shop item price history chart now has a Google Finance–style drag-to-compare interaction. Click and drag across any range and instantly see how a skin's price has shifted between two points. Your inner stock analyst is welcome here.

XP, Levels, and Progression, Rebalanced

With the new referral system in play, we took the opportunity to rebalance the entire progression curve. XP requirements, free case key rewards, commission rates, and quest/badge thresholds were all retuned across all 100 levels for a smoother climb from level 1 to the top.

The /level page got a redesign to match. The XP breakdown now clearly shows what each level offers and how much XP it takes to reach it (not the awkward "until next level" math we had before). Plus, every "EXP" reference across the platform is now consistently called XP, because we got tired of explaining the difference.

Oh, and one more thing: offers now display the XP reward alongside the Coin amount. The XP was always being credited, you just couldn't see it. Now the full picture is right there.

Faster, Lighter, Calmer

A lot of the work in 2.0.0 isn't visible, but you'll feel it.

We replaced the third-party animation library with native browser APIs and shaved over 50 KB of CSS off initial loads. We updated the core framework, dropped underused packages in favor of native alternatives, modernized our scheduling and timer logic, and added preconnect hints to the assets CDN.

The profile picture and banner pipeline was rebuilt from scratch for faster uploads, stricter moderation, and correctly sized output images. Chat rendering, widget memory usage, and search input handling all got a tune-up.

The result: pages load faster, the app feels lighter, and a lot of small frictions are just... gone.

A Safer Place to Earn

We also upgraded our automated content moderation system. Detection accuracy is significantly better across posts, images, and messages, and we now cover a wider range of safety attributes. With a 13+ audience and a real community growing inside Rewardly, keeping the platform safe is non-negotiable.

The Little Things

We can't list everything (the changelog runs long), but a few worth calling out:

  • Posts and comments now support 500 characters, up from 280. Express yourself.

  • Profile pictures, banners, and post images can now be up to 5 MB, up from 2 MB.

  • An update notification prompts you to refresh whenever a new build is ready, so you're never stuck on yesterday's version.

  • Compact Mode in app settings for a denser layout if you want to see more at once.

  • Auto-collapsing sidebars when you resize down from desktop.

  • The emoji picker finally inserts at your cursor instead of teleporting to the end. Small win, big sigh of relief.

  • And dozens of layout, responsiveness, and polish fixes across the cart, chat, profile, and small-screen experience.

Out of Hibernation

We've been quiet for two months. Sorry about that. But this release is what we've been building, and we think it earns the silence.

2.0.0-beta is a milestone on our road to a stable launch, and there's a lot more coming on the foundation we just laid. As always, your feedback is the cheat code that helps us build faster and better. Drop us a line at [email protected] or via live chat support. Rewards up for grabs for the best suggestions and bugs found.

Thanks for sticking with us. The next level is unlocked.

Happy earning,
The Rewardly Team
