Let's explain how to deactivate or delete your account.
Deactivation vs. Deletion:
Deactivation: This temporarily disables your account, hiding your profile and preventing access to features. However, your data is retained, and you can reactivate your account within 30 days by simply logging back in. Think of it like a pause button.
Deletion: This permanently removes your account and associated data from our platform. This action is irreversible.
How to Deactivate Your Account:
Log in to Rewardly: Access your account through the app or website.
Go to Settings: Navigate to your account settings (usually a gear icon).
Privacy: Look for a section named Privacy.
Deactivate Account: Select the option to deactivate your account. You may be asked to confirm your decision. (recent login is required)
Reactivating Your Account:
If you log back into your deactivated account within 30 days of deactivation, your account will be automatically reactivated, and you can continue using Rewardly as usual.
How to Delete Your Account:
If you wish to permanently delete your account, follow the same steps as deactivation, but select the "Delete Account" option instead. You will likely be asked to confirm this action multiple times, as deletion is irreversible.
What Happens After Deletion?
Data Removal: After you confirm deletion, your account and associated data will be permanently removed from Rewardly's active systems. Some data may be retained for a limited time for legal or regulatory compliance, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
No Recovery: Deleted accounts cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Rewardly again, you will need to create a new account.
Coins and Skins: Any remaining coins or unredeemed skins associated with your deleted account will be forfeited and cannot be transferred to a new account.
Before You Delete:
Redeem Rewards: Redeem any outstanding coins for skins before deleting your account, as they will be lost upon deletion.
Export Your Data: If you want a copy of your Rewardly data, request a data export before deleting your account. See our "Export Your Data" support article for instructions.
We're sad to see you go, but we understand that circumstances change. If you have any questions or encounter any issues, please contact our support team before deleting your account. We're happy to help!
