2FA makes it much harder for someone to access your account, even if they manage to get your password.
How 2FA Works:
With 2FA enabled, logging into Rewardly requires two things:
Your Password: Something you know.
A Verification Code: Something you have (sent to your phone).
This combination makes it much tougher for unauthorized access, as a potential intruder would need both your password and access to your phone.
Setting up 2FA (SMS):
Currently, Rewardly supports 2FA via SMS messages:
Open the Rewardly app: Launch the app on your device.
Go to Settings: Navigate to the settings section, usually a gear icon.
Find "Security" or "Two-Factor Authentication": The section name might vary slightly.
Enable 2FA: Select the option to enable 2FA.
Enter Your Phone Number: Enter your mobile phone number.
Verify: You'll receive an SMS message with a verification code. Enter this code into the app to confirm.
App Authentication (Coming Soon):
We're working hard to bring you app-based authentication (using authenticator apps) in the near future. This will provide a more convenient and secure 2FA experience. Stay tuned for updates!
Troubleshooting:
Lost Phone? If you lose your phone, contact our support team immediately. We'll help you disable 2FA and regain access to your account.
Not Receiving Codes? Double-check that your phone number is entered correctly. If you're still having trouble, contact your mobile provider to ensure you can receive SMS messages. Then, reach out to our support team, and we'll assist you.
Why Use 2FA?
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA. It significantly increases your account security and protects your hard-earned coins and skins. While no security system is foolproof, 2FA adds a vital layer of defense against unauthorized access. Stay safe, and happy earning!
